To gather our student's attitudes toward and beliefs about MCAS, we chose to conduct one-on-one interviews. In order to be able to compare the findings of Student A and Student B, we compiled a list of interview questions that would be asked of both students before and after taking the MCAS. (See appendix for full list of interview questions.)

Student A Interview
Mario is a student who is really involved after school in sports and in tutoring other students. Therefore, taking time into consideration, Mario was interviewed via questions e-mail and a follow up 1 on 1 with his teacher Estefania Alves using a voice recorder. Responses have been transcribed without any editing for grammar, spelling, etc.
Student B Interview
Xhorxhia participated in a 1 on 1 in person interview with her teacher Denise Rodrigues. A voice recorder was used to capture all of her responses. The first interview was done prior to her taking the 10th grade English Language Arts MCAS. The second follow-up interview was conducted after she had taken the test in March 2012.
Responses have been transcribed without any editing for grammar, spelling, etc.
